TA Instruments Differential Scanning Calorimeter

About

The TA Instruments DSC250 is a high-end instrument to determine the thermal properties of the formulations. Specifically, the DSC is often used to determine the curing/melting/crystallization temperatures and enthalpies, and the glass transition temperature.

The DSC includes the Modulated DSC modes that can help separate the complex thermal events, allowing researchers to collect quality data at faster speeds, which is important in a high-throughput setting.

This module is semi-automatic, as the pans need to be made manually, but then they can be loaded into the custom, temperature-controlled autoloader for testing. A web app is included to guide the users through the sample preparation and database entry procedures.
